Hotel Secession an der Oper

Good continental breakfast, comfy bed, big bathroom, excellent position near the Opera.

Hotel Secession - just along from same named exhibition gallery and nachmarket in excellent location to explore city centre shops of all sorts. Close to transport links with cafes, restaurants, markets, museums all easily reachable by foot. Staff were all very polite and responsive, breakfast team, receptionists and house staff all excellent, helpful and respectful team here. Unassuming professional quality set up here with everything you need for breakfast with quiet and comfortable rooms. Nice gift for birthday (provided with local sparkling wine gift was delicious ). Thanks Secession Team!!

It’s location was great! Whether that’s transportation (access to the hotel), sightseeing, places to eat, shopping or anything else you’d like to do in Vienna, you can. And, most importantly the staff were friendly and attentive.

Central location near to the metro station and able to walk to lots of the attractions we wanted to visit. Area around the hotel felt very safe and we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Our room was large and very comfortable bed. Bathroom was well equipped and spacious. Nice to have tea and coffee making facilities, small fridge and a bottle of water each day which was lovely. Had one drink from the bar which was a similar price to places locally. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. Lots of bakeries and shops nearby as well.

We had initially booked a different hotel in Vienna that ended up not being at it's listed address + the room still unprepared / uncleaned at check in time. We rebooked with Hotel Secession instead & they accommodated us so well with a last minute booking! Incredibly friendly staff that gave us lots of recommendations on what to do and see in Vienna. They also worked hard to accomodate us when we wanted to extend our stay by 2 nights, even with limited availabilities. Room was spacious, beds were comfy, and the kitchenette was perfect for cooking quick meals and boiling water. Will definitely stay here again if ever back in Austria!
